Dr Elshatory was highly recommended to me by a friend who also happens to be an eye surgeon in Plano. In a somewhat scary situation for me, Dr Elshatory was very flexible with his calendar to make sure I could be seen as soon as possible. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He is quick in and out, but if you have a question he will always take the time to answer it. He really knows what he is doing with the eye injections, and amazingly there is no pain. I did not ask any questions this trip.

Dr. E. evaluated me multiple times for potential detached retina and repaired my husband’s detached retina. We were so impressed by how thorough, kind, patient and selfless he was while helping us. He performed the surgery just before the holidays. Doctor alone met us at his office on a Saturday to ensure my husband was healing. It was a few hours before he was to board a plane for Christmas. He even called us from his destination. All eyesight was restored! Pure dedication. Thank you so much!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Elshatory to family and friends: I was happy to meet him when he came on board. He had a sense of confidence about his abilities and skills. When I had my eye surgery, I knew that Dr. Elshatory was the BEST in his field so I went in to surgery with no worries about the excellent outcome. I was right. I am happy that he knew exactly what to do and my vision is restored. No one around me can tell if I had eye surgery at all! I am very pleased!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Elshatory. I incurred a very serious retina detachment with a questionable prognosis. Thanks to Dr. Elshatory I have recovered complete vision. He is a very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. After complete retinal detachment, blindness in 1 eye, and several surgeries by another MD, I regained peripheral vision only. Initial MD could not do anymore. Dr. Elshatory felt he could improve my situation. After further surgery by Dr. Elshatory, I have my central vision back. I feel he worked a miracle. He's a nice guy and does fantastic work!

dr elshatory saved my life. after looking at my retina he scheduled me for a carotid Doppler sonogram which showed an 80 plus percent blockage in my left carotid artery. after a head and neck cat scat it showed a 99 percent blockage. well I had surgery and today my retina symptoms were resolved (6 months after the carotid clean out)

Dr Elshatory was a God-send for my husband. Very professional office staff took our early-morning call on a holiday weekend, when other Retina specialists refused. The staff member relayed my husband’s symptoms to Dr Elshatory. She immediately replied to us, and said the doctor would meet us in his (CLOSED!) office within 30 minutes! He opened his office and thoroughly examined by husband, spending close to 2 hours with us, carefully explaining my husbands diagnosis. We then were sent to the ER with detailed instructions for the staff there, (The hospital staff also appreciated Dr Elshatory’s written detail and further suggested protocol.) My husband and I cannot recommend Dr Elshatory highly enough. He obviously takes his Hippocratic Oath very seriously. ❤️

Superior retinal specialist. I required emergency treatment for a torn retina. Amira set everything up very quickly and entered my information. Olivia prepped me with professional skill. I was very nervous and scared. Doctor Elshatory answered all my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand and eased my mind. He explained the procedure he was about to perform, then went right to work on my eye. Doctor Elshatory is very gentle with his hands and it was virtually a painless procedure with a minimum amount of discomfort. With the newest state-of-the-art equipment and an exceptionally clean environment, I was very impressed. As a Military Veteran I recognize professionalism when I see it, and this place is top notch. Also, this facility is easy to find, plenty of free parking close to the building, everything is on the ground floor. Dr. Elshatory and his staff were wonderful! The staff was very helpful and did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and answered the phone right away. They worked swiftly with my insurance (Molina) which is very tough to deal with but they sent all the information for my surgery right away. The staff is very responsive and professional.
